Affiliates Alert
by Maayan Marzan
The
free
Affiliates Alert
software allows you to search the ClickBank Market
Place for affiliate products and services which you can sell on
your website, with your newsletter or market with Google AdWords
or other pay-per-click engines.
There is a free version
of the software and a Professional version. The
Professional version gives you some additional features which I
will describe below. The subscription for the Professional
version is $9.95 a month.
Below is a screen shot
of the control panel for the Affiliates Alert Professional Edition
software. The free version has the same control panel.
Number
1 gives you the option to search
for various Main Categories within the ClickBank Market
Place.

Here are the main
categories:
Business to Business
Computing and
Internet
Fun & Entertainment
Health & Fitness
Home & Family
Marketing & Ads
Money & Employment
Society & Culture
Sports & Recreation
Wagering
Number
2 gives you the option to search
within the Main Categories for Sub Categories. There
are too many Sub Categories to list them all here. You will
be able to see them when you download the free version of the
Affiliates Alert software.
Number
3 gives you the option to list
the number of affiliate products you want to be displayed. Your
choices are ALL, 10, 20, 30, 40 or
50 affiliate products
Number
4 gives you the option to
display affiliate products based upon how long they have been in the
database. If you leave the setting at the default of ALL and
Days
then it will display all the products. You can also use this feature
to display just the newer affiliate products.
Number
5 gives you the option to search for affiliate products
based upon how much commission they pay.
Number
6 gives you the option to search
for affiliate products based upon keywords, which is helpful when
you are looking for niche market products.
Number
7 gives you the option to search
for affiliate products based upon the merchant's ClickBank
ID.
Below is a screen shot
of the search I conducted within the Business to Business Main
Category using the Sub Category Publishing that pay more
than $10.00 commission.

Below is a close-up of
the ten affiliate products listed above.
Number
1 shows the rank of the affiliate products using the
Main Category: Business to Business and the Sub Category:
Publishing.
Number
2 shows the name of the
affiliate product.
Number
3 shows the percentage of the
sale price of the affiliate product that you earn for a sale.
Number
4 shows the actual commission
that the affiliate product pays.
Number
5 shows the Ranking Number
change of the affiliate products since the last update. Positive
Ranking Numbers show how much an affiliate product has improved
since the last update. Negative Ranking Numbers means that a
product is moving down in the rankings.
It is easier for a
product with a Ranking Number of 44 to move to a Ranking
Number of 43 than it is for a product to move from a Ranking
Number of 4 to move to a Ranking Number of 3.
This is all factored into the software.
Number
6 shows the Momentum Ranking change for the
affiliate products since the last update. I don't use the
Momentum Numbers as criteria when choosing affiliate products
since they can change too quickly.
One example of why a
Momentum Number might move higher would be a marketer
promoting the affiliate product in his ezine. This might make the
Momentum Number move higher because of new sales, but a few days
later the Momentum Number would move down again once sales
returned to their normal level.
Number
7 gives you the option to print this report shown.
Number
8 gives you the option to get more information and
statistics on the affiliate products. I'll show you a screen shot of
this below.
Number
9 gives you the option to visit
the merchant's website.

Clicking on the info
& stat for number eight, Web-Source.net, will bring up the
following view below.

In this screen shot you
can see the Statistics & Information for the Web-Source.net
merchant website.
It has a link to the
actual website, a Description of the product, the
Product's Price, affiliate commission shown as a percentage,
affiliate commission in dollars, ClickBank Nickname for the
merchant, the ability to generate your Affiliate Link, the
Categories the product is listed under in the ClickBank
Market Place, Last Rank and More Information.
By clicking on the
Ranking History link for this product for Business to
Business you will get the following view below.

By viewing the
Ranking History we can see that this product has maintained its
present Rank over the last three months. This tells us that
it has been a consistent performer.
If the Rank went
lower over time it would tell us that sales have increased and it
might just be a new Killer Product, meaning that sales for
the product is increasing.
The Rank is
important because you can find new Killer Products to
promote. You can also avoid the affiliate products that have a
Rank History that is decreasing, which can some times mean that there may be a problem with the product since sales
are declining. Perhaps there are a lot of refunds for the product
and because of that many affiliates have stopped marketing it.
For more information on
the Affiliates Alert software you should visit the home page
at http://AffiliateAlert.com,
where you will also be able to find out more about how to use the
Ranking History to find profitable affiliate products.
